Sadie&Dione’s story began with our dedicated love of haute couture - intricate detailing, precision tailoring, and lush natural fabrics along with our eternal inspiration of Ottoman and Anatolian craft.
In the 16th century, economics, politics, and arts thrived as the Ottoman Empire entered the Golden Age. The textile industry also reached its peak with the introduction of weaving, specifically in metallic threads and gold or silver accessories and beaded edges, which were a very popular embellishment. Sultans and the Upper-class or royals within the Ottoman Empire took the utmost pride in their fashion and the designs for court were made by specific people in the palace called “hassa nakkaşları”.
Like hassa nakkaşları in the Empire, our custom creations are made by craftsman tailors, detailed stitch by stitch.
Our accessories and buttons are uniquely designed and manufactured in traditional old town ateliers in Anatolia, crafted in 18 karat yellow gold plate, and finally our top notch quality fabrics are inspired by Anatolian art motifs.
